Ginette Lenham
Ginette Lenham is a skilled counsellor, psychotherapist, and coach with a Bachelor of Applied Social Science and a Graduate Diploma in
Counselling, Psychotherapy, and Coaching.
As a member of the Australian Counselling Association, Ginette has extensive experience working with groups on self-esteem, behavioural change, mood disorders, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and weight loss support. Ginette
offers individual counselling on grief, trauma, relationship and family conflicts, body image issues, depression, anxiety, and other life concerns, sometimes related to weight issues.
Her background in health and fitness equips her to support and coach clients on their weight management journeys. Passionate about advocating for those facing weight challenges, Ginette works to dismantle the stigma and judgment often linked to obesity and complex metabolic conditions. In over fourteen years of helping people with obesity and chronic health issues, Ginette has learned that weight is rarely an isolated issue. Ginette considers patients' life stages, cultures, genders, food preferences, family dynamics, and histories for a personalized approach. Ginette’s dedication to a supportive method of
weight management comes from her personal experience with a child diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, requiring urgent weight loss.
The mixed messages and challenges with food and weight management were profound. This experience fuelled her commitment to a hopeful approach to weight management, ensuring it is neither restrictive nor alienating during vulnerable times.
